New Delhi, Nov.26: Famous Canadian singer and guitarist, Bryan Adams, has tested positive for COVID-19 upon his arrival at Milan’s Malpensa Airport, just days before the debut of the 2022 Pirelli calendar, which he photographed.

He revealed the situation in an Instagram post that included photos of him in a room after getting tested and then sitting in an ambulance waiting for a more accurate PCR test. He sat regularly and wore a medical mask.

Here I am, just arrived in Milano, and I’ve tested positive for the second time in a month for COVID,” Adams said in the post. “So it’s off to the hospital for me.” He thanked fans for his support.

Adams, who also works as a photographer, shot the 2022 Pirelli calendar after being hired to shoot the 2021 version, which had to be cancelled owing to the pandemic. Adams was scheduled to attend at in-person press events to promote the calendar on Sunday and Monday, but his appearance was now in doubt.

The unveiling of the Pirelli calendar is usually a spectacular event attended by those who appear and other VIPs, but due to the ongoing epidemic, this year’s event was already a scaled-back affair, with a small guest list for an evening drink.

Adams chose as his subjects for the calendar called “On the road,” other musical talents, including Iggy Pop, Cher, Jennifer Hudson, Saweetie and St. Vincent.
