Deoghar, May 5: Six persons including an Executive Magistrate were injured in a road accident that occurred near the stadium on Deoghar Sarwan main road, just one kilometre near Sarwan Block Office.
A head-on collision occurred between the government vehicle (Scorpio) and a private car coming from the opposite direction. Executive Magistrate Supriya Bhagat’s vehicle was going to Sarath block for election purposes with her colleagues. Whereas four people were coming from the opposite side. Both vehicles were moving at a high speed and collided. As a result, the Scorpio overturned.
With the help of locals, the injured were dragged out of the vehicles. Both vehicles got badly damaged in the incident. The passengers of the private vehicle were seriously injured while the government staff got minor injuries.
All injured passengers of the private vehicle were brought to Deoghar Sadar Hospital and are being treated there. While the government staff were taken to a private hospital near Kunda More and were released soon after the treatment.
The government officials were identified as Pradeep Yadav, Subash Tiwari, and Saurabh Tiwari.
