Ranchi, July 12: A total of six girls of Sonua block located in Chaibasa have been safely returned from Tamil Nadu by the state government. They were working in Bannari Spinning Mills Limited, Tamil Nadu as thread workers. A total of  Rs 36,000 has also been paid for everyone’s remuneration.

The Safe and Responsible Migration Center, Chaibasa and State Migrant Control Room started by the State Government had contributed significantly in the rescue.

The rescued girls were given work by a contractor at the Bannari Amman Spinning Mill in Tripura, Tamil Nadu. When the girls started returning home after three-four months, the contractor stopped them and demanded money.

After this, the girls asked for help from the Jharkhand state government. On the instructions of the government, all the girls were brought back safely.
