New Delhi, Sept 4: Sonali Phogat’s family now wants a CBI probe in her murder case. Sonali Phogat’s nephew, Vikas Singh, has stated that the family will petition the Goa High Court for a CBI investigation.
Meanwhile, according to Sonali Phogat’s brother Rinku Dhaka, a Goa police team is set to visit Gurgaon today (Sunday) to examine the case.
According to Sonali Phogat’s brother, the Goa police have ordered the family members to meet at Phogat’s flat in Gurugram by 2 p.m., and the unit would be unlocked and searched only in the presence of the family members.
Six of Sonali Phogat’s family have already arrived in Gurugram. Sonali Phogat’s two brothers, brother-in-law, and nephew, along with two other family members, go for Gurugram.
The police have requested that the family arrive in Gurugram between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. Sonali Phogat’s Gurugram apartment will be unveiled in front of family members. Sonali Photgat and her assistant Sudhir stayed in this apartment before travelling to Goa.
For four days, Sonali Phogat’s family members had voiced concerns about Goa Police’s actions in Hisar. Sonali Phogat (42) was pronounced dead at St Anthony Hospital in Anjuna, North Goa, on August 23 morning.
