New Delhi, Aug 28: In connection with the alleged murder of actor and BJP politician Sonali Phogat in Goa, another drug dealer has been detained. As a result, five people have now been detained in connection with the investigation.
According to officials quoted by news agency PTI, the drug dealer was detained on Saturday night for allegedly selling drugs to another dealer who then allegedly provided drugs to Phogat’s companions.
Two people were detained on Saturday and charged with murder and drug offences. The proprietor of the restaurant where Phogat was spotted partying the night before she died and a drug dealer.

Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh, two of the Haryana BJP leader’s allies who were detained on Thursday, have been sentenced to ten days in police prison.
More than 25 persons have been questioned by the police thus far, including employees of the restaurant, the resort where Phogat was staying, the hospital where she was pronounced dead, and her chauffeur.
The police have claimed that Phogat was coerced into using methamphetamine drugs by the accused on Monday at the renowned restaurant/nightclub Curlie on Anjuna beach, citing security camera evidence and purported admissions.
