New Delhi, Jan 5: Actor Sonu Sood has been slammed by Northern Railway for travelling on the footboard of a train, saying that it is ‘dangerous’.
Calling him the role model for the people of India, Northern Railway said that his video would give a wrong message to the nation.

“Dear, @SonuSood, You are a role model for millions of people in the country and the world. Travelling on train steps is dangerous, and this type of video may send the wrong message to your fans. Please do not do this! Enjoy a smooth and safe journey,” tweeted Northern Railway.
This tweet from Northern Railway came after actor Sonu Sood uploaded a video of his train journey on December 13 in which he was seen travelling on the footboard.
In the 22-second clip, the actor was dangerously sitting by the door of a moving train and holding on to the handrail outside. He was looking out and was precariously sitting on his toes.
The Mumbai Railway Police Commissionerate also warned the actor and stated that such a trick would work in movies for entertainment but not in real life.
“@SonuSood travelling on the footboard may be a source of `Entertainment` in movies, not real life! Let’s follow all safety guidelines and ensure a ‘Happy New Year’ for all,” tweeted GRP Mumbai.
Sonu Sood has helped thousands of people during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown. At the time of Covid, he received many messages from citizens seeking urgent help at the time and had responded to their concerns.
