Bihar: Several districts in Bihar experienced strong earthquake tremors early Friday at around 2:36 AM. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.5 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located in Nepal’s Bagmati region at a depth of 10 kilometers.
Districts Affected by the Tremors
The tremors were felt in multiple districts of Bihar, including Patna, Bhagalpur, Samastipur, Darbhanga, Katihar, and Siwan. Additionally, parts of Nepal also experienced the quake.
Second Earthquake in February
This is the second earthquake to hit Bihar in February. Earlier, on February 17, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Hasanpur village of Siwan district. However, no major loss of life or property has been reported in either incident.
