Dhanbad, Aug 22: MP MLA special court of Dhanbad today dismissed the case filed against senior Congress leader former union minister Salman Khurshid, P Chidambaram and former chief minister Digvijay Singh for hurting religious sentiments and spreading religious hatred.

Special MP MLA special court of chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Santoshni Murmu today, while hearing the case against all trio senior leaders filed by lawyer Shiv Pukar Singh, dismissed it on a second date today.

The lawyer Shiv Pukar Singh had on November 11, 2021, filed a case in the court alleging that Salman Khurshid in his book ‘Sunrise Over Ayodhya’ has hurt the religious sentiment and spread hatred among the two communities. The lawyer had pointed out that on page 113 of the book, the author has hurt the religious feeling of the Hindu community.

Since former union minister P Chidambaram and former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh had jointly released the book of Salman Khurshid, the Dhanbad lawyer in his complaint also alleged both of them as conspirators for hurting the feeling and spreading hatred.

Earlier, the court on the first date in June had directed the complainant Shiv Pukar Singh to present the book of Salman Khurshid.
