Mumbai, Dec 3: To mark the birthday of legendary India’s Test and ODI skipper Mithali Raj, Viacom18 Studios on Friday announced the release date of ‘Shabaash Mithu’, a biopic on the star player.
The movie is featuring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role and is all set to hit the screen worldwide on February 4, 2022.

‘Shabaash Mithu’ is the tale of the most sucessful women cricketer, the country has ever seen. The film chronicles the highs and lowa, setbacks and moments of euphoria of Mithali’s life with Taapsee essaying the titular role. The film also have actor Vijay Raaz in a key role.
Directed by Srijit Mukherji, the film script is written by Priya Aven and the movie is produced by Viacom18 Studios.
Interestingly, the film will clash with Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar’s entertaining drama ‘Badhaai Do’. Directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, ‘Badhaai Do’ is a sequel to the National Award winning comedy drama, ‘Badhaai Ho’.
