Ranchi: In a major setback for the accused, Ranchi’s special CID court has rejected the bail plea of Izhar Hussain and Akhtar Hussain in the Tetulia land scam case involving 103 acres of forest land in Bokaro district. The decision came on Wednesday when the court dismissed their petition seeking release.
Court Proceedings and Arrests
The CID had arrested both accused on July 12 and sent them to jail. Since then, they have remained behind bars. On July 21, the duo had filed for bail together, hoping for relief. However, the court, after examining the case details, denied them bail.
Ongoing Investigation
The case is not limited to the CID alone; the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also probing the matter due to its scale and implications. The investigation is expected to continue, keeping both accused in custody as proceedings move forward.
