Mumbai, March 22: In its second week, The Kashmiri Files continues to dominate the box office. In less than a week, the Vivek Agnihotri picture has outperformed other post-pandemic movies such as Spider-Man: No Way Home, Sooryavanshi, and 83. With a total of 70.15 crore, the film’s second weekend collections outperform the week two collections of these films. The film has amassed a total of about 180 crore in box office receipts.

As theatres reopened following the outbreak, Spider-Man: No Way Home shattered all records in India, becoming the country’s third-largest Hollywood blockbuster, behind Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War. Spider-Man: No Way Home (English) earned Rs 41 crore in its second week at the domestic box office, according to Bollywood Hungama. In their respective second weeks in theatres, Sooryavanshi made 46 crore and 83 made 26 crore.
The popularity of The Kashmir Files has had an impact on Akshay Kumar’s latest film, Bachchhan Paandey. In its first Holi weekend, the film grossed Rs 37 crore.
Notably, the film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, Puneet Issar, Mrinal Kulkarni and others. The film is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in then Jammu and Kashmir in 1990.
