The Kashmir Files wins Best Film award at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2023

New Delhi, Feb 21: Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Kashmir Files’ won the Best Film award at the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2023 on Monday night. Vivek Agnihotri took to his Twitter handle to proudly announce this.

“ANNOUNCEMENT: #TheKashmirFiles wins the ‘Best Film’ award at #DadaSahebPhalkeAwards2023. This award is dedicated to all the victims of terrorism and to all the people of India for your blessings,” Sharing the pictures of himself holding the award, along with other photos, he wrote.

Anupam Kher also took to his Twitter handle to share photos and videos of their entire team receiving the award.

Notably, The Kashmir Files is a film about the migration and killings of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, was released in theatres on March 11 and performed exceedingly well at the box office. Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar, and more actors were included in it. At the box office, it did record-breaking business.

Earlier on January, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) has released a remainder list of 301 feature films for the Oscars.’The Kashmir Files’ made it to the Oscars 2023 reminder list along with Blockbuster’s RRR’, ‘ ‘Kantara’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’.
