Udhampur, August 24: The local police reported on Thursday that three persons died after a dumper went off the road and fell into a gorge in the Dudu area of the Udhampur district.
In the road accident, one other person sustained injuries.
The incident was confirmed by Vinod Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police in Udhampur.
Meanwhile, the injured person is currently stuck under the vehicle, and a rescue effort is underway.
“Three are dead and one is injured after a dumper skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the Dudu area of Udhampur district. The bodies of the deceased have been recovered but the injured person is still trapped under the vehicle, rescue operations by Police and locals are underway”, said SSP Vinod Kumar.
