Mumbai, Oct 22: An emergency landing of the aircraft VT-RBT, belonging to the Red Bird Academy Technam, near the Baramati airstrip in Pune, Maharashtra, has been carried out.
It is reported that both the trainer and trainee on board have been injured in this incident. Both of them have been admitted to the hospital.
It is said that there was a sudden technical failure in the training aircraft, which led to the emergency landing. During the landing, the aircraft overturned. The training aircraft belonged to a private company.
Senior Inspector Prabhakar More of Baramati police station said that a training aircraft of Redbird Flight Training Academy crashed in Gojubavi village. A trainee pilot and an instructor were injured in the accident and have been admitted to a nearby hospital. He mentioned that the cause of the accident is not yet known, and an investigation into the matter is underway.
