New Delhi, Feb 9: In India, the Twitter Blue membership service has officially begun. Users in India may now sign up for a premium subscription to Twitter for Rs 900 per month, which was previously only available in a few nations.

The company has introduced the new membership at a price of Rs 650 per month for those accessing it via the Twitter website. For users who subscribe via the Android or iOS app will have to pay a monthly fee of Rs 900.

The fact that subscribers with confirmed phone numbers will instantly receive a blue verified badge (tick mark) on their profile is one of the subscription’s main benefits. Earlier, the verified badge used to require a separate application from Twitter users. People can tell if an account of public interest is real by looking at the badge.

Notably, Twitter Blue has a number of benefits, including priority conversation rankings, early access to features like the ‘Edit Tweet’ button and the ‘Undo Tweet’ function. According to the firm, Twitter Blue subscribers will also see half as many adverts on the platform’s home timeline as non-subscribers do.

The NFT profile picture, themes, custom navigation choices, access to the Spaces tab, the ability to undo tweets, limitless bookmarks, the ability to bookmark folders, and more are some additional benefits that subscription services provide. While users may not immediately receive blue tick after signing up for Twitter Blue, the benefits described above will be accessible right away. On some devices, though, not all functionalities might be accessible.
