Ramgarh, May 23: A senior citizen named Laxman Agarwal, a businessman of Barkakana, on Monday came to the Central Bank Ramgarh branch located on the main road of the town to withdraw money.

He withdrew Rs 2.5 lakh from the bank in the afternoon. As soon as he came out of the bank with money, two criminals on a bike snatched the bag full of money from him and fled.  By the time Laxman could understand something, the criminals had disappeared.

Laxman Agarwal reported this information to the nearby people after which the Ramgarh police reached the Central Bank of India and started investigating the matter.

Laxman Agarwal said, “As soon as I came out with the money from the bank, two men on a bike forcibly snatched the bag containing the note from my hand. I informed the people and the police about the incident.”

Ramgarh police station in-charge Rohit Kumar Mahato and other officials reached the Central Bank as soon as the incident was reported and checked the footage of the CCTV camera.  The incident of robbery in broad daylight in the congested area of the main road of the town has surprised everyone and they are wondering how law and order have collapsed in the town.
