Union Tribal Affairs ministry to organize mega tribal health camp in Khunti on Sunday

Ranchi, June 25: A mega tribal health camp is set to be organized in Khunti on Sunday to be attended by around 50000 people. Union Tribal Affairs minister Arjun Munda who is also MP of Khunti will participate in the health camp which will be held at Birsa Munda College. Around 200 doctors will participate in the programme to provide free medical consultation to visitors.

The health camp named Abua Bugin Swasthya Nawa Pahal Swasthya Mela is a joint initiative of the Tribal Affairs ministry and the district administration. The health camp will be followed by a cultural programme.

As per the schedule, the programme will start at 10.30 AM. Some popular doctors will share their medical experiences. Five selected Covid 19 warriors will be felicitated on this occasion. A short documentary will be produced on Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India Limited (ALMCIL). On this occasion, ALMCIL will also distribute artificial limbs to five beneficiaries. Two schools in Khunti district will get computers and the book Diamonds of Khunti will be released. A panel discussion on health issues besides a presentation on Education, Skilling and Livelihood will be done by Sanjana Patro.
