New Delhi, June 28: The head of the Bhim Army, Chandrashekhar Azad, was shot at by unidentified persons on Wednesday in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He was taken urgently to a local hospital.
Azad was fired at while he was at an event in Saharanpur. A car with a Haryana licence plate carried the assailants to the spot. Chandrashekhar Azad was shot by them, and he was injured.
At the time of the assault, the head of the Bhim Army was sitting in a Toyota Fortuner. The door and seat of the car each had bullet holes in them. At least four bullets were fired during the attack by the assailants as they approached the vehicle from behind.
