Lagatar24 Desk:

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh witnessed another police encounter on Saturday when Nayeem, a wanted criminal with a ₹50,000 bounty on his head, was killed near Madina Colony in Meerut. Nayeem was accused of murdering five members of a family, including a husband, wife, and their three daughters, in the Lisari Gate area of Meerut.

Police revealed that Nayeem had murdered his stepbrother Moin and his family. During an operation to arrest him, Nayeem allegedly attacked the police, leading to an exchange of gunfire in which he was shot dead. His body has been sent for postmortem.

A Criminal with a Long History

Nayeem had an extensive criminal record with multiple cases registered against him in Delhi and Maharashtra. Sources said he was living in disguise to evade arrest. Meerut SSP Vipin Tada stated that Nayeem was a cunning criminal who maintained relationships with multiple women across different states to avoid suspicion.

Family’s FIR and Ongoing Investigations

The case stems from the discovery of five bodies in Suhail Garden Colony, Lisari Gate, on January 9. The victims were identified as mason Mohan, his wife Asma, and their three daughters. Asma’s family had filed an FIR against Nayeem.

Search for Another Accused

Another accused in the case, Salman, remains at large. A reward of ₹50,000 has also been announced for his capture.

The police are continuing their investigation to ensure justice for the victims’ family and to apprehend other suspects involved in the gruesome incident.
