Gorakhpur, July 2: The Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) has sped up the process of establishing industries in an effort to grow to a trillion-dollar economy within the following five years.
GIDA will shortly begin the application process for the allocation of 253 industrial plots in several sectors, including the plastic and readymade garments park projects, among others, an official statement said.
By 2027, Uttar Pradesh’s GDP would be worth one trillion dollars, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said earlier.
The allocation procedure for the new plots, according to GIDA CEO Pawan Agrawal, will hasten the construction of a plastic park. The plastic park in Sector 28 will have 92 plots with a total area of 2,18,859 sqm, according to the available information.
Pawan Agarwal added, “GIDA is being developed as an excellent industrial area in line with the vision of the Chief Minister. Implementing the investment proposals received at the Global Investors Summit in the ground-breaking ceremony is also progressing rapidly.”
These plots have sizes ranging from 594 to 20,764 square metres. Entrepreneurs and investors can submit proposals for a total of 42 plots, each measuring up to 1,000 square metres, 42 plots measuring between 1,001 and 4,000 square metres, five plots measuring between 4,001 and 20,000 square metres and three plots measuring more than 20,001 square metres.
Similar to this, a total of 41 new plots totalling 28,340 sqm would be allocated to the Garment Park in GIDA Sector 26. These plots will range in size from 510 to 1,000 square metres.
120 plots will also be given to general industries. These plots span four sectors and have a total area of 479,053.83 sqm. Entrepreneurs and investors are invited to submit applications for 26 plots in Sector 13 with sizes ranging from 600 to 42,284.20 sqm, 18 plots in Sector 15 with sizes ranging from 759 to 15,500 sqm, 12 plots in Sector 26 with sizes ranging from 3,996 to 17,514 sqm and 64 plots in Sector 27 with sizes ranging from 541 to 62,952.70 sqm.
Entrepreneurs can submit applications for plots based on their needs. There are a total of 35 plots up to 1,000 square metres, 64 plots from 1,001 to 4,000 square metres, 17 plots from 4,001 to 20,000 square metres, and 4 plots more than 20,001 square metres.
In order to guarantee that investors receive land plots that meet their needs, the GIDA, as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intended, is continually adding to its land bank. Additionally, the process of giving entrepreneurs land plots and connecting those plots to infrastructural development is also moving along quickly.
Agrawal further indicated that GIDA’s target for the groundbreaking ceremony is Rs 12,500 crore. Approximately two-thirds of the goal has been reached thus far. The distribution of new plots will help GIDA advance past its original objectives. Each investor’s and entrepreneur’s needs have led to the development of small, medium and large plots.
Notably, over the past six years, GIDA has become a desirable spot for investors, much like Noida, as a result of better law and order conditions and the Yogi government’s industry-friendly and transparent policies. In February, Gorakhpur got investment proposals totalling Rs. 1.71 lakh crore during the Global Investors Summit.
