UP polls: After ruckus over Fevikwik thrown on EVM, voting resumes in Lakhimpur Kheri

Lakhimpur Kheri, Feb 23: In Lakhimpur Kheri, polling has resumed after a disturbance arose after Fevikwik (adhesive) was thrown on an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM). The incident occurred in Lakhimpur Kheri’s Kadipur Sani region, which is voting in Phase 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022. Following the commotion, the EVM was replaced, and voting proceeded.

Utkarsh Verma, an SP candidate, said that glue was thrown at the cycle symbol.

Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Banda, and Fatehpur are the districts where voting is going on. This is the fourth of seven phases of the state’s Assembly elections. In this round of voting, there are a total of 624 contestants.
