New Delhi, Nov 3: Two people were killed after a fire started in the Vrindavan Garden Hotel in Mathura, UP, on Thursday morning. Umesh (30) and Biri Singh (40), the deceased, were workers at the guesthouse close to Ramakrishna Mission Hospital.
Meanwhile, two more patients with severe burn injuries have been checked into a hospital.
Two staff were stranded in the hotel’s top floor when a violent fire broke out. Three fire fighters hurried to the scene to put out the flames as soon as they received the information. Aproximately 70 persons were successfully evacuated from the hotel’s second level.
“Two people have died in the fire accident and two seriously injured people have been admitted to the hospital. The cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained,” Chief Fire Officer Mathura, Pramod Sharma, said.
