New Delhi, Dec 1: Former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Harish Rawat and Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar joined Congress leader Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra on Thursday.
On its 83rd day, the yatra, which the Congress claims aim to unite India, will pass through Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
For the first time since the beginning of the campaign, the Congress scion was flanked last week by his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who serves as the party’s general secretary, and her husband, Robert Vadra.
Notably, the Yatra started on September 7 and has so far covered 36 districts, and 7 states and 1209 km remains to be covered. The yatra is scheduled to cover a distance of 380 km in the politically crucial Malwa-Nimar region of western Madhya Pradesh within 12 days.
