Islamabad, March 18: A vehicle in the convoy of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan met with an accident on Saturday while it was travelling to Islamabad for a hearing in the Toshakhana case.
Imran Khan’s Toshakhana case will soon continue before a local court in Islamabad. Despite a prolonged effort by law officials to detain him for skipping many prior sessions, Imran Khan managed to elude detention.
“It is now clear that, despite my having gotten bail in all my cases, the PDM govt intends to arrest me,” he said in Twitter.
Imran emphasised that the government’s intention to detain him is a component of the “London plan” to conclude all legal proceedings against the nation’s former leader Nawaz Sharif.
Imran has created a committee to run the party in the event that he is arrested, according to Reuters.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has filed a complaint against Khan, the 70-year-old leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, for allegedly failing to disclose information about gifts in his asset declarations. Khan is scheduled to appear before ADSJ Zafar Iqbal’s court to participate in the proceedings.
