Mumbai: Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has been discharged from Breach Candy Hospital after several days of treatment. His family has decided that he will continue to receive medical care at home, doctors confirmed to PTI.
Family Issues Official Statement
In an official statement, Dharmendra’s family announced that the actor has returned home and will continue his recovery under medical supervision. “We request the media and public to refrain from speculation and respect his privacy. Dharmendra ji sends his love and gratitude to everyone who prayed for his health,” the statement read.
Bollywood Expresses Concern
Dharmendra had been admitted to the hospital following a period of ill health. On Monday, reports suggested his condition had worsened, prompting regular hospital visits from family members including Hema Malini, Esha Deol, Sunny Deol, and Bobby Deol. Several Bollywood stars such as Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Salman Khanalso visited to check on his condition.
Family Condemns Fake Death Rumours
Earlier, social media was flooded with false news about Dharmendra’s death, which angered the family. Hema Malini took to X (formerly Twitter) calling the rumours “unacceptable and insensitive,” while Esha Deol also clarified that her father was recovering and urged people not to spread misinformation.
