Violence Erupts in Chhapra: Attack on CPI(ML) Candidate Satyendra Yadav’s Vehicle During Voting

Chhapra: A major incident of violence was reported during the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 when miscreants attacked the vehicle of CPI(ML) candidate Dr. Satyendra Yadav, who is contesting from the Manjhi Assembly seat under the Mahagathbandhan alliance. The attack took place while polling was underway in the district.

Attack During Poll Inspection

According to early reports, unidentified assailants vandalized Dr. Yadav’s Scorpio SUV, smashing its windows near Banwar and Jaitpur areas. The incident occurred when the candidate was visiting polling booths 42 and 43 in Jaitpur village to inspect the voting process. Although the attack was reportedly life-threatening, Dr. Yadav escaped unharmed.

Police Deployed, Investigation Underway

Police personnel quickly reached the spot and took control of the situation. Additional security forces have been deployed in the area to prevent further violence. An investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend the culprits behind the attack.

Local residents said that panic spread at the polling station during the incident. The administration has assured strict action and enhanced security measures to maintain law and order throughout the voting process.
