Ramgarh, Aug 31: Amid the suspense over Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais’ move to disqualify Chief Minister Hemant Soren following the Election Commission’s opinion over the office-of-profit case, the UPA MLAs were shifted to Chhattisgarh on Tuesday.
However, Ramgarh Congress MLA Mamta Devi did not join the crew as she is currently on maternity leave. She had delivered a son on the morning of August 13.
Talking about this, Mamta Devi’s husband Bajrang Mahto said, “We are firmly in support of the present government. They had called her to go to Raipur but she didn’t due to being on maternity leave. Presently, she is taking rest at home.”
Although, the MLA was present in the Hazaribagh court on Tuesday where the court delivered decisions on the Gola Firing case. She was sentenced to three months imprisonment along with seven others but was granted bail afterwards.
