Jamshedpur, March 6: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of light rain and cloud in isolated pockets of Jharkhand from Tuesday.
According to the forecast, a partly cloudy sky in the south, west and adjoining central parts is expected today while a mainly clear sky is in the northeastern parts of the state.
Light rain or thunderstorm is likely at isolated places over western and adjoining central parts of the state on March 7 and March 8.
The forecast for March 9 indicates light rain or thunderstorm l at isolated places over northeastern, southern and adjoining central parts of the state.
A partly cloudy sky is expected over southern parts of the state on March 10 while the forecast for March 11 suggests light rain or thunderstorm at isolated places over eastern and adjoining central parts of the state.
The Western Disturbance as a trough in middle and upper tropospheric westerlies exists with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
The induced cyclonic circulation over north Gujarat and its neighbourhood lies over north Gujarat and adjoining southwest Rajasthan extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Dry weather prevailed over the state during the past 24 – hours. The highest maximum temperature of 36.6°C was recorded at Jamshedpur while the lowest minimum temperature of 13.3°C was recorded at Simdega.
The Met Office forecasts suggest no major changes in maximum temperature during the next 72 hours.
