New Delhi, Aug 23: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced on Tuesday the arrest of seven additional suspects in connection with the Birbhum killings in West Bengal.
Bikir Ali, Noor Ali, Sher Ali alias Kalo, Asif Sheikh, Joshif Hossain, Jamirul Sheikh alias Ujir, and Khairul Sheikh were named as the defendants.
On Tuesday, the defendant will be brought before a judge in Rampurhat.
Nine persons were already detained by the main agency on suspicion of taking part in the massacre.
On March 21, assailants threw petrol bombs at multiple homes in Bogtui, killing ten people including six women and two children in all.
