New Delhi, Dec 9: The Women’s Indian Premier League (WIPL) media rights were put out for bids by the BCCI on Friday for a five-year window between 2023 and 2027.

According to a press statement by BCCI secretary Jay Shah, “The Governing Council of the IPL invites bids from reputed entities to acquire the Media Rights for the Women’s Indian Premier League Seasons 2023-2027, through a tender process”.

The media rights bid for WIPL has not yet been made clear whether it would be a sealed one-time bid or successive e-auction bids.

The price of the bid document for the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (ITT) is Rs. 5 lakh plus applicable tax. The document’s Annexure A lists the steps to take in order to obtain the ITT materials. The ITT will be available for purchase till December 31, 2022.

Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the ITT. To submit a bid, a person must, however, meet the ITT’s eligibility requirements and adhere to all of its other terms and conditions. It has been made clear that merely acquiring the ITT does not grant anyone the right to place a bid.
