Ranchi: Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand BJP election co-incharge Himanta Biswa Sarma attended the nomination rallies on Monday for Paritosh Soren from Shikaripara, Devendra Kunwar from Jarmundi, Suresh Murmu from Jama, and Sunil Soren from Dumka. Speaking at the nomination public meeting, he took sharp jibes at Congress leaders Irfan Ansari and Alamgir Alam.
“Irfan Ansari made indecent remarks against Sita Soren. The Chief Minister should have dragged him to jail. Crores of illegal rupees were recovered from Alamgir Alam, yet his wife was given an election ticket. No legal action has been taken against them. If I were given the responsibility, it wouldn’t even take me an hour to settle scores with Irfan and Alamgir Alam,” said Himanta, emphasizing swift action.
Hitting Out at Hemant Soren Over Infiltration Issue
Himanta also criticized Chief Minister Hemant Soren, accusing him of failing to address the infiltration issue in Jharkhand due to vote bank politics.
“Hemant Soren is not a leader of the tribals; he has become the leader of infiltrators. Infiltrators now make up 20% of Santhal. When the BJP forms the government in Jharkhand, we will legally kick out these infiltrators. We are fighting this election to free Santhal Pargana from infiltrators, and we will keep fighting until every single infiltrator is driven out,” he stated.
He further added, “If a father is not a tribal but an infiltrator, they will not be given tribal status. The BJP promises that if any tribal daughter marries an infiltrator, her family will not be allowed to contest the village head election until they are accepted by the tribal community.”
BJP Promises Cancellation of CGL Exam in First Cabinet Meeting
Himanta also addressed issues concerning Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) exams.
“As soon as the BJP government is formed, those responsible for the JSSC CGL paper leak—no matter how powerful they are—will be jailed. The BJP will not allow anyone to play with the future of young people. In the first cabinet meeting, we will cancel the CGL exam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi guarantees a fair CGL exam within two months,” Himanta assured.
