Jamshedpur, April 4:  XLRI today rolled out three masters’ level courses in an online mode.

The courses are Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM), Post Graduate Diploma in Finance (PGDF) and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM).

Each program will commence with a one week immersion program at XLRI campus in Jamshedpur followed by another week of campus visit in the second year.

XLRI, founded in 1949, is not only the oldest management institute of the country, but also the first institute to offer management courses through an online platform in India.

Keeping true to its vision, XLRI strives to offer a management-centric education which is not just leading to a degree, but one that inspires future business leaders to respond to the needs of the industry and society.

XLRI rolled out  its flagship two-year programs leading to post graduate diploma in online mode for those who were not able to avail it due to space, opportunity or other related resource constraints.

“The online post graduate diploma programs offered aim at bridging the gap between the aspirations of the participants and the requirements from qualified professionals; suitable for the industry. For working professionals, the online programs are best suited as they learn while being at work. Participants learn from the experienced XLRI faculty as well as industry experts and their peers over an interactive online platform and monitor their learning as well as performance progression during the program”, said Fr. Paul Fernandes, director, XLRI, Jamshedpur.

A senior XLRI Prof Sanjay Patro, said, ” Professionals currently working in the corporate sector and eager to learn and update their skills through a systematic and rigorous education can enroll in this program to supplement their experience-based skills with widely recognized post graduate diploma to boost their career prospects.”

Admissions to the courses began on Monday. Last Date for registering in those  academic programs is June 5 this year.
