Lucknow, Nov1: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday slammed Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav for comparing Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Yogi said that it shows the ‘Talibani mentality’ that believes in dividing the country.

“Samajwadi Party Chief yesterday compared Jinnah to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This is shameful, It’s Talibani mentality that believes in dividing. Sardar Patel united the country. Presently, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, work is underway to achieve ‘Ek Bharat, Shresth Bharat,” said Yogi while addressing the people.

BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh, Harnath Singh Yadav also said that Akhilesh yadav should tender an apology to country for glorifying Jinnah. He also said that the country is more important than the vote bank.

Notably, on the occasion of the 146th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Akhilesh Yadav remarked that Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi , Jawaharlal Nehru and Muhammad Jinnah studied in the same institution, while addressing the gathering. After this comment, many BJP leaders have slammed Akhilesh Yadav for his comments.
