Ranchi: The Jharkhand government has allocated ₹10.19 crore as compensation for victims across 16 districts under the Victim Compensation Scheme. The funds were released by the Department of Home, Prisons, and Disaster Management to support those affected by crime, violence, or disasters.
District-wise distribution of funds
Among the allocations, Dhanbad received the highest compensation of ₹2 crore. Ranchi, Hazaribagh, and Giridih were each allotted ₹1 crore. Other districts such as Chatra, Lohardaga, Chaibasa, and Ramgarh also received significant portions based on local victim relief requirements.
