Ranchi: The Supreme Court has postponed the hearing on the bail plea of suspended IAS officer Vinay Chaubey by one week, while granting conditional bail to co-accused Sudhir Kumar Singh and Vijay Pratap.

Court Allows Time To Respond To ACB Affidavit

A bench comprising Justice B.V. Nagarathna and Justice Ujjal Bhuyan heard the petitions filed by Vinay Chaubey, Sudhir Kumar Singh, and Vijay Pratap. During the proceedings, Chaubey’s counsel sought one week’s time to respond to the affidavit filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), which the court accepted.

Conditional Bail Granted To Two Accused

After hearing the matter, the court granted conditional bail to Sudhir Kumar Singh and Vijay Pratap. The court directed that both individuals must not influence witnesses and must fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation.

Next Hearing Scheduled After One Week

The Supreme Court has scheduled the next hearing in Vinay Chaubey’s case after one week, following the submission of his response to the ACB affidavit.
