14573 farmers of Ranchi district got the benefit of farm loan waiver scheme, process of e-KYC started

Ranchi: Many farmers across the country committed suicide due to crop failure and non-payment of loans. Seeing the problems of the food donors, the central and state governments started many schemes and schemes. Giving priority to the debt related matters of farmers in Jharkhand, the government started the loan waiver scheme. Hemant Sarkar had announced this scheme on its first anniversary on 29 December 2020.

Under the scheme, loans of up to 50,000 farmers of the state will be waived. The government took the responsibility of repaying the loan.

In Ranchi district, 14573 farmers have been given benefits under this scheme. At the same time, for this financial year also, the process of e-KYC has started for the loan waiver of the farmers of the district. In the year 2021, the government has allocated Rs 1200 crore for this scheme. Government determines how much loan can be given for which crop

In order to help farmers in crop yield, the government sets the standard of how much loan to be given for different crops. Accordingly, farmers are given the same loan from banks for that specified crop. Loans are given to farmers on the basis of per hectare or per acre of land. In this, a maximum of Rs 1,75,036 per hectare is given for ginger cultivation and a minimum of Rs 31,161 per hectare for mustard cultivation. On the other hand, a loan of Rs 41,886 per hectare and Rs 33,316 per hectare for paddy cultivation, Rs 48,337 for maize, Rs 53,771 for wheat, Rs 1,26,056 for potato, Rs 87,223 (figure per hectare) for onion is given. Know about Agriculture Loan Waiver Scheme

Agriculture Loan Waiver Scheme is a scheme of the Government of Jharkhand. It was started for the convenience of small and marginal farmers. Under this, the government waives loans of farmers up to Rs 50,000. For 2020-21, the government had allocated an amount of 2000 crores for this. Continuing the scheme this year also, an amount of Rs 1200 crore has been allocated in the budget of the government for the scheme. Along with this, the loan waiver limit has also been increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
