Daltonganj, May 12: 16,000 students have made online registration with the National Testing Agency in Nilamber Pitamber University for the undergraduate courses of the three faculties for the session 2023 -24.
Sources said only 1,000 of the 16,000 students have skipped making online payments of fees while 15,000 students have done online payments of fees which come in three ranges depending on the number of subjects offered like three, seven and a maximum of 10.
The National Testing Agency holds an admission test for the Common University Entrance Test where a registered candidate has the choice of a reputed university as well as of run-of-the-mill type university of different states.
Registrar of the NPU Dr Rakesh Kumar said, “We have seen National Testing Agency holding NEET examination at Garhwa and Daltonganj both very recently and so we do not see why National Testing Agency will not be doing this for CUET here in Daltonganj at least for our students’ admission into UG courses.”
The Registrar said the NEET examination was conducted by the National Testing Agency on the desktop and with a proper backup of power and net facility.
The National Testing Agency has announced its pan India admission test on/from May 21 which is to end on May 31 but in the event of any unforeseen circumstances, it is to be extended for a week in June.
Students and parents have urged the NP university officials to come out with details of the National Testing Agency’s examination as 98 per cent of the prospective admission seekers have no clue about their admission.
Registrar Dr Rakesh Kumar said if need be the university is ready to ship its admission aspirants to Ranchi by bus at the cost of the university both ways up and down as the National Testing Agency has set up its examination at Ranchi besides eight other places too.
However, the registrar conceded no student or for that matter or guardian has come to us asking about this test which is to begin on/ from May 21.
