New Delhi, Dec 7: A Delhi Court on Tuesday has announced charges against former Congress MP, Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti-sikh riots case.
The court has announced charges under the offences of rioting, murder and dacoity under sections 147, 149, 148, 302, 308, 323, 395, 397,427, 436, 440 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against him, informed advocate Harpreet Singh Hora.

Notably, the case pertains to the murder of two sikhs in Raj Nagar, Delhi. The case was registered at Police Station Saraswati Vihar, Delhi. The eye-witness of the case had identified Sajjan Kumar when he saw a photograph of him and informed that the case was previously closed as untraced in1994 and the SIT had opened it again.
The Court has now posted the matter on December 16 for the formal framing of charges.
