26 jawans of JAP-7 Hazaribag fall ill after consuming food at camp in Deoghar

Deoghar, March 17: As many as 26 police personnel of JAP 7 Hazaribag fell ill due to suspected food poising at midnight on Thursday in JAP 5 campus in Mohan Pur of Deoghar.

According to reports, more than 25 people at first experienced nausea, stomach discomfort, and shivering. All have been admitted to Deoghar Sadar hospital.

Talking to Lagatar24.com a jawan said that “around 8 pm we all have dinner and after sometime one of us  started to feel sivering and at midnight. After some time, more jawan started to complain of the same symptoms.

18 Jawans have been admitted in a ward and eight have returned after being treated.

The Jawans of JAP-7 hazaribag had come to JAP-5 Deoghar for SPC training. Admitted jawans have been identified as Ashok Kumar, Suparna Datt, Awadesh Kumar, Sudhir Rawan, Jagarnath Mahto, Tarapad Mahto, Birendra Kumar Mahto, Dhaneshwar Mahto, Vinoda Nand Mahto and Amit Bhingra.
