Ranchi, Nov 6: Ranchi administration has forgotten to check for covid among the passengers coming at the Khadgadha bus stand and ITI bus stand from various parts of the state and other states.

At the two bus stands, there is no one to check the passengers and the vulnerability towards the infection has increased for the people living in Jharkhand capital.

Talking about the issue SDM Deepak Kumar Dubey said that magistrates have been placed at the bus stand to check the incoming passengers.

“I will check and tell about the placement of magistrates and police force at the bus stands,” the SDM further said.

On the other hand, defying the DC orders to admit the covid positive passengers to the covid hospitals 25 covid positive passengers fled from the Hatia railway station whereas 2 from Ranchi railway station today.

With minimal police force at the Railway stations and airport, the magistrates placed at both the places feel helpless.

The magistrate, Raghubansh Singh, placed at Hatia railway station said that there is no power with the magistrates without the police force.

“Mobile number verification is still not possible as there is a lack of manpower with only 4 in a team to test the patients,” Singh said.

It has been eleven days since DC Chhavi Ranjan during a virtual meeting of District Covid Task Force ordered that no passenger will move out untested and covid positive passengers to be taken to covid hospital failing which the Incident Commander will be suspended.
