Ramgarh, April 10: A total of 288654 male and 261811 female will cast their vote in Ramgarh Panchayat elections, District Election Officer (Panchayat) cum Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra said in a press conference in the Collectorate Hall on Sunday regarding the three-tier Panchayat (Common) Election 2022.
“Last evening the notification was issued by the State Election Commission for the three-tier Panchayat (general) Election 2022. Model code of conduct has come into force except in city council areas and cantonment areas. Model code of conduct will be applicable to all candidates/political parties and Jharkhand State Government,” she said.
“The implementation of any old scheme of the Central / State Government will not be affected by the Model Code of Conduct which includes the process of tender. The implementation of the schemes of Zilla Parishad/Panchayat Samiti/Panchayat will come under the purview of the Model Code of Conduct,” she added.
“All the preparations have been completed by the district administration to ensure that the model code of conduct is followed during the elections and in case of any contempt, action will be taken as per the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission,” she further said.
Notably, three-tier Panchayat (general) election will be held in four phases, in which Ramgarh district will vote in the first, third and fourth phases. Polling will be held in Dulmi, Chitarpur and Gola in the first phase on May 14, Patratu and Ramgarh in the third phase on May 24 and Mandu in the fourth phase on May 27. The counting of votes for the first phase will be completed on May 17 and the counting of the third and fourth phases will be done on May 31.
1461 polling stations have been set up in 797 buildings under Ramgarh district, including 129 in Dulmi block, 142 in Chitarpur, 294 in Gola, 430 in Patratu, 40 in Ramgarh and 426 in Mandu block. In 1461 416 polling stations are of general category while 710 are sensitive and 335 are very sensitive polling stations.
A total of 550465 voters of Ramgarh district will exercise their franchise, out of which 288654 will be male and 261811 will be female. A total of 1748 posts will be elected under Ramgarh district, in which 15 Zilla Parishads, 125 Mukhiyas, 147 Panchayat Samiti and 1461 Gram Panchayat members will be elected.
The maximum limit of expenditure for the post of member gram panchayat is Rs 14000, for head of gram panchayat Rs 85000, for member panchayat samiti Rs 71000 and for member zilla parishad Rs 214000.
A total of 10 polling stations of Patratu block have been identified as shadow areas and action is being taken to ensure network availability there.
For the successful conduct of the election, 14 cells have been constituted and deputation of senior officials and officers has been done, through which the election will be successfully conducted. Apart from this, meetings have been held in the past regarding the work to be done with different cells and necessary instructions have been given to the officers.
Bajragriha and counting center for the election has been built in Ramgarh Mahavidyalaya Ramgarh. Basic minimum facilities like drinking water, toilets, ramps for disabled voters and lighting at cluster centers have been arranged at all polling stations.
The Deputy Commissioner said that as per the guidelines of the Disaster Management Authority, Section 144 is applicable in the entire district, it will be issued in more detail by the Sub-Divisional Officer in view of the elections.
