New Delhi, Jan 1: Delhi and the neighbouring territories felt earthquake tremors on the first day of the new year, Sunday. No injuries or property damage were reported.
According to the National Center for Seismology, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8 was felt in Delhi and the adjacent territories on Sunday morning.
“An earthquake of Magnitude 3.8 jolted the national capital and surrounding areas at around 1.19 am. The epicentre of the earthquake was in Haryana’s Jhajjar and its depth was 5 km below the ground, “National Center for Seismology said in a statement.
The Delhi NCR experienced earthquake tremors earlier on November 12. The earthquake that struck Nepal on November 12 at around 7:57 pm measured 5.4 on the Richter scale, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). According to NCS, the earthquake occurred 10 km below the surface.
