Ranchi, Oct 3: The athletes from Jharkhand have been performing well in the ongoing 36th National Games in Gujarat and the same can be said for the archery players.
Jharkhand’s Goldie Mishra has confirmed his spot in the finals of the singles individual competition whereas Anshika Kumari has reached the final of Recurve individual competition.
Goldie will be facing Punjab’s Azad Veer Singh on Oct 4 in the final whereas the women’s round team will play for bronze against Gujarat on the same day.
Moreover, Anshika will face Haryana’s Sangeeta Kumari in the final. In the mixed team, Jayant Talukdar and Komolika Bari will face Gujarat for the bronze match.
The sports director Sarojini Lakra has also visited Gujarat in order to motivate the athletes to perform exceptionally well in the National Games. She also met the Archery team and wished them the best for their respective competitions.
