414 below 18 girls go on missing in 2 yrs in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Sept.18:  As many as 414 below 18 girls went on missing from Jharkhand in 730 days. NCRB data compiled in 2019 and 2020 suggests so.

According to the data, the total number of missing persons is 2546 in two years. The figure includes 381 below 18 boys, 915 above 18 men, and 946 above 18 women besides the 414 below 18 girls.

The missing rate is four per day.  In 2019, 243 boys and 212 girls besides 624 men and 538 women went missing while in 2020, 138 boys and 202 girls besides 291 men and 408 women went missing.

Data analysis suggests that in comparison to men number of women went on missing more in 2020. While 291 men went missing in the year, the number of missing women is 408.

Data is compiled on the basis of reported cases. The report is yet to come regarding the clue of the missing persons.
