Ranchi, April 19: A 45-member Jharkhand Athletic team has been announced to take part in the National Master Athletics Competition to be organised by Master Athletics Federation from April 27 to May 1 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai.
Jawahar Jha and Ashok Mahto have been appointed as the coach Virender Prasad Sahu and Sangita Lakra have been appointed as the managers for the men’s and women’s teams respectively. The Secretary of Jharkhand Master Athletics, Laxman Ram has informed that the team will leave for Chennai on April 24.
The names of the selected players are Laxman Ram, P.C. Devgan, Birendra Prasad Sahu, Dashrath Mahto, Vijay Singh, Ranjit Munda, Ranjit Oraon, Rajendra Mahto, Trilochan Tumse, Sanjay Chakravarty, Ramdev Ram, Sanjay Rai, Vakil Kumar, Hari Om Kumar, Ashok Kumar Singh, Ashok Mahto, Jawahar Jha, Sukh Ram, Samuel Tirkey, Kisto Rai, Surender Baraik, G. babu Dev, Paramhans Yadav, Miss Mary, Pratibha Kumari, Sangita Lakra, Anurakti Shukla, Rani Goswami, Nirmala Kumari, Ravi, Manisha Bhagat, Sujata Bhagat, Sharda Pradhan, Lalita, Mukti Tiru, Ahilya Devi, Ravi Bhushan, Arun Kumar Mishra, Prabha Lakra, Roshan Liya Tigga, Neelam Devi and Vipin Singh.
