4th JCA Open Blitz chess tournament to be held on Nov 27

Dhanbad, Nov 22: The 4th JCA Open Blitz chess tournament of Jharkhand will be held at United Club, Bistupur on  November 27.

The tournament is being organized by Jamshedpur Chess Academy. The total cash prize in the tournament is Rs 61,000. The winner and runners up will be given Rs 10,000, Rs 6000 respectively. The player on 3rd  and 4th positions would get Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively.

JCA president Prasant Kumar Singh said players on 5th to 15th and 6th to 16th would also be paid Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 respectively. Besides cash prize, 33 trophies will be also given to successful players.

The last date for entry in the tournament is November 23 but with fine of Rs 200 player can get the entry till 12 am of November 25. The entry fee of the tournament is Rs 1000.

The organizer said only registered players of All Jharkhand Chess Association (AJCA) and active player of All  India Chess Federation (AICF) are eligible  to participate in it.

Pradip Mukherjee and Chandan Kumar Prasad (FIDE Arbiter) have been appointed director and deputy director respectively of the tournament.

For officiating the tournament a panel of FIDE Arbiter has been made under chief Arbiter (Olympiad) Dipak Kumar of Ranchi. Other members of the panel are deputy chief arbiter (Dhanbad) Prabhat Kumar Ranjan, assistant arbiter Binod Kumar Saw (Dhanbad), assistant arbiter Aman Choubey, assistant arbiter Chirnji Lal, assistant arbiter Anup Kumar Singh (all three are senior national Arbiter).
