Ranchi, Oct 5: The All India Fertilizer Corporation of India VSS Employees Association (AIFCIEA) today shot off a letter to Prime Minister  Narendra Modi against the frequent transfer of the HURL Sindri unit head and said that this action of the fertilizer department has hampered the plant badly.

AIFCIVSS EA  president  Sadar Sewa Singh, in a letter, has pointed out that you (PM) laid the foundation stone of the HURL Sindri unit in place of the Fertilizer Corporation India (FCI) plant on  May 25, 2018, and till September 2023 six heads of the unit have been changed. Whenever a unit head tries to run the plant smoothly he is changed, Singh added.

The HURL Sindri plant began production of neem-coated urea in November 2022.  When the production gained momentum the unit head Dipten Roy was transferred to Gorakhpur. “So far six unit heads, Sujit Kumar Chawla, MC Karan, SK Sinha, Himmat Singh Chouhan, Kameswer Jha, and now  Dipten Roy (vice-president) have been posted and transferred in five years,” said Sewa Singh.

The association has urged the Prime Minister to conduct a probe into the HURL Sindri plant to prevent damage to the national property.

HURL Sindri is an ambitious project of the Prime Minister which has a production capacity of  3,850 tons neem coated urea per day.
