8 NIT Jamshedpur professors named among top 2 percent scientists of world

Jamshedpur, Sept 15: Eight professors of NIT Jamshedpur have been named among top 2 per cent scientists of the world.

By creating its own identity, the institute has made itself proud in the entire country.

These professors of the institute have been included in the category of top 2 % scientists of the world by Stanford University.

This is an important step, which recognizes the distinguished and outstanding contribution of NIT Jamshedpur to the field of Indian education and research.

The survey has been published on the basis of selection by a group of professors of Stanford University of America, in which scientists are selected on the basis of citations received for their published research work.

The professors from NIT Jamshedpur who have been included in the list of 2 % scientists of the world include Sunil Kumar and Snehasish Kundu of Mathematics Department, Professor Sanjay, Head of Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Satish of Mechanical Engineering Department.

Prof. Kumar and Vishesh Ranjan Kar and Professor Ujjwal Laha of the Department of Physics, Ajay Kumar and Nagendra Kumar of the Department of Electronics and Communications.

This recognition of the institute’s professors in the world’s 2% scientific list has brought NIT Jamshedpur into the limelight by putting it on the global map of science and technology.

NIT Director (Prof.) Gautam Sutradhar of welcomed this honour and appreciated the hard work and commitment of the professors selected for this coveted honour.

He considers this achievement as lasting and important and said that it is a matter of pride for the scientific community of NIT Jamshedpur.

“With this honour, NIT Jamshedpur is poised to take next steps and empower its scientists to face complex challenges and encourage innovation, ” said the director.

Registrar of the institute, Colonel Nishith Kumar Rai also congratulated everyone and said that the contribution of these professors has made NIT Jamshedpur a leader in the field of education and research at the highest level.

It is known that Stanford University Campus, one of the world’s top educational institutions, spread over an area of ??8,180 acres in Stanford, California, America, was established in 1885 and is one of the oldest universities in the United States.

Besides science, courses are offered in almost all subjects, including commerce, medicine, and social sciences.

The university is also a major research centre recognized for research in various fields such as neuroscience, biomedical engineering, computer science, cyber security, biology, solar energy, etc.

Stanford University is also famous as a mine of Nobel Prize winners in the world. 32 scientists, professors and students of Stanford University have won the Nobel Prize.

“It is a great honour for NIT Jamshedpur to be recognized among the top 2% of scientists in the world, as this recognition reflects a unique and significant commitment that reflects the distinguished and outstanding contribution of the institute to the field of Indian education and research, ” said a spokesperson of the tech cradle.
