Dhanbad, April 16: A member of the notorious ‘Gang of Wasseypur’, Prince Khan has given life threats to Md. Israel, the General Secretary of Congress’ State Minority Cell and demanded extortion money of Rs. 2 lakh. He has been on the run for last one year after murder and extortion charges.
Khan sent a video message to Md. Israel through WhatsApp where he has allegedly said that he will not take any extortion money from him but will rather kill him.

“I received a video message at around 7:10 AM on WhatsApp and duly informed the Bank More police station as well as senior police officers of the district about it and sought protection”, said Md. Israel alias Lala.

Md. Israel is a resident of Wasseypur and is famous as a businessman. After getting the extortion call from Prince Khan, he has been provided security by the district administration.

District Congress working President, Ravindra Verma, said that he has not been informed by Md. Israel about the incident. However, it is a serious matter and the police administration should enhance his security.

Prince Khan, the murder accused of trader Nanhey Khan, has been absconding for last one and a half years. He has demanded extortion money from over a dozen businessmen and contractors of the coal belt.

Senior superintendent of police (SSP), Sanjiv Kumar, has already set up a special squad for his arrest across the country.

A senior police officer said that they do not confirm whether the murder accused has sent the video or not but will investigate it seriously as Prince Khan has been absconding.

Prince Khan is the nephew of the notorious extortionist and murder accused Fahim Khan who has been in Hazaribagh Central jail for years. But for supremacy in the crime turf of the coalfield, Prince got separated from Fahim and set up his own gang to carry out illegal activities.
