KK suffered face, head injuries; autopsy to be conducted today

Kolkata, June 1: The death of singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, well known as KK, has been registered by the Kolkata Police as an unnatural death. The case was registered to the New Market Police station.

On Tuesday, May 31, the singer fainted at the Grand Hotel, which is located near the New Market police station, and was brought to a private hospital in the city, where he was pronounced dead.

His face and head were injured, according to police sources. On Wednesday, an autopsy will be performed at SSKM Hospital in Kolkata to determine the cause of death. The police will examine the Grand Hotel’s CCTV footage and speak with hotel workers and event organisers.
